The TurboBend is our patented redesign of the Hohner Special 20. We have made some fantastic modifications to the Special 20 that will help any beginner bend the notes as well as allow the professionals to achieve a deeper, bigger sound. The plastic comb of the Hohner Special 20 has been replaced with an enlarged comb and embossed reed plates so you can hit those smooth and deep bends.
To make this custom harmonica even better, we’ve added a pair of our TurboLids that will show off your sense of style as well as provide you with a more comfortable playing surface for your lips. Every single TurboBend harmonica is custom made to order right here in our TurboHarp lab.
Construction
The TurboBend is a modified Hohner Special 20 that has an enlarged comb and embossed reed plates to help you bend the notes. We have swapped the original cover plates for a pair of our TurboLids to give you the look and feel of a custom harmonica.
Cover Plates
The traditional cover plates have been replaced with our TurboLids, which are constructed from a rugged plastic that will not crush in your back pocket. The smooth plastic design is comfortable on your lips and will not pull on your mustache hairs.
Colors
Our TurboLids come in thirteen different colors that will match your unique personality. To make your harmonica stand out even more, you can upgrade to our designer TurboLids.
